Exploring Your Authentic & Neglected Parts: A SoulCollage® Journey

Rediscover Hidden Aspects of Yourself & Reintegrate Them Into Your Life

This SoulCollage® inner parts series focuses on identifying and reintegrating neglected parts of the self that may have been suppressed due to life circumstances, expectations, or personal beliefs. Neglecting aspects of oneself can contribute to feelings of disconnection or dissatisfaction which can lead us to feeling this disconnect from our authentic self. This series will guide participants in recognizing these parts and taking steps to bring them into conscious awareness, fostering a sense of wholeness.

If you prefer to draw or paint instead of using SoulCollage®, you are welcome to do so.

What This Series Covers

This series incorporates Jungian psychology, focused shadow work, and expressive art to help participants:

  • Identify a neglected part of themselves and understand its significance.

  • Explore how suppression of this part may have impacted their emotions, choices, and behaviors.

  • Engage in structured shadow work focused on reintegration rather than general exploration.

  • Use dream symbols and intuitive imagery as tools for self-discovery.

  • Apply Active Imagination techniques to dialogue with and understand their neglected self.

  • Develop practical steps to reintegrate this part into daily life.

 

This course offers a structured, supportive space to explore personal growth through reflective discussion and creative expression.

What to Expect

Over the course of either 6 or 8 weeks, participants will engage in guided exercises to facilitate self-exploration. Each session includes:

  • A discussion on Jungian concepts such as individuation, neglected aspects of the self, and shadow integration.

  • A guided exercise or meditation designed to surface and explore a specific neglected part.

  • Time to create SoulCollage® cards that reflect insights gained from the session.

  • Reflection and optional sharing (no prior art experience needed).

Each session builds upon the last, providing a progression toward recognizing, understanding, and reintegrating hidden aspects of the self into everyday life.

  • Week 2: Shadow Work for Integration (Focusing on a Neglected Part)

  • Week 3: Dream Symbols & Hidden Messages

  • Week 4: Active Imagination & Inner Dialogue

  • Week 5: Balancing Opposites in the Psyche

  • Week 6: Integration & Practical Steps for Reintegration

(Optional Weeks)

  • Week 7: Recognizing Synchronicity & Personal Narrative

  • Week 8: Closing Reflection & Next Steps

Note: The final session length will be determined based on group needs and interests.
